- allow more money for outings because trains are expensive (get a railcard!)
- allow more time for outings (because public transport often takes a bit longer to get to that zoo/pool/castle)
- take a taxi/hire a car when needed
- carry your kids by bike
- carry your babies/toddlers in a carrier
