Well....I guess I'm here now! Penn State University graduate. History junkie. Music lover. Contributor at Voices Of Wrestling. I'm ready for whatever life has to offer next!
Finally, here’s our larger steam engine pulling its usual passenger/mail service:

Up next is our Union Pacific Diesel, pulling its usual freight train:

Here’s the tiny tank engine I like to call the little speed demon (it’s pretty fast for such a small engine!).

Aw that’s cute. I’ll share videos in a little bit.

MAJOR LAYOUT UPDATE!!

I forgot that were some other new track pieces I got (only a few pieces, but enough to make a difference), so I was able to expand the inner loop!! That expansion also includes a switch leading to a siding for the two small engines.

Testing out some alterations to my inner loop. Might provide a future update.

The yard is finished! Made some slight alterations, but I think it worked out well.
December 14, 2025 at 4:55 AM
The inner loop is now complete (took a break to watch the John Cena retirement)!

Because of where my work chair is, I can’t do a more traditional 90 Degree corner, so I have to an odd sequence of curve-straight-curve-straight-curve-straight tracks.

The outer loop is complete! This includes the two switches that serve as access points to the main yard.

The hardest part of the layout (in terms of just setting it up) is done.

That includes the section of track that runs underneath my work desk and the “engine shed” (the two sidings for the engines that go underneath the table that has our nativity set and advent candles on it).

More of the main layout is coming together. The main straight of the outer loop is done, and the inner loop is starting to take shape.
December 14, 2025 at 1:30 AM
Starting to put the main section of the layout together with the outer loop and the inner loop. Two of the new curved track pieces I got are included here on the outer loop.
December 14, 2025 at 1:09 AM
As always, I usually do the section involving the cross track first, which also includes the curved track that connects to the power unit.
December 14, 2025 at 12:59 AM
All the tracks (and track accessories) are out.

I believe I mentioned this last year, but I settled on a regular track plan and drew a layout map so that I can remember it.

The hardware/hobby store that sold LGB stuff locally for a long time closed earlier this year, so I picked up a few spare track pieces before they closed.
