Good luck to you sir in your righteous campaign. I genuinely hope you are right but my doubts remain in absence of actual statistical evidence and in talking to neighbors in my neighborhood which politically is about a 50/50 split. Tons of talk about high prices on the other hand

Oh, and then the sanctimonious at the end when you lose! So fun

Sure, the American voting public will just love this take. Do you want to win, or do you want to be righteous? Me thinks the latter.

With all the talk of rallying/swarming to the football, why hasn’t the hook and ladder caught on more? The Lions did it a few times last year and I was sure it would catch on after people watched film. I’ve been wrong, obviously, and would love to understand why.

That’s quite the word salad, seems very complicated. Perhaps the simpler more practical approach is free speech for all people?

“The arbiter is defined implicitly in the article” I just reread the article and still don’t see it. Sorry to be dense, but who is the implicit arbiter of free speech as defined by the writer?

While I appreciate the intent of the writer, the answer to the question of who is the arbiter of allowed free speech remains unanswered. The civil libertarians say no one, and therefore everything is allowed. It’s an uncomfortable answer, but at least free from the risk of a King deciding.

STNG made numerous attempts at holodeck episodes, I don’t recall caring for any of those either

I think I agree, 2/3 geographically aligns with the plains but the Twin Cities does feel like Great Lakes as the “Gateway to the Plains” similar to Chicago. Plus #2 center of gravity is Duluth which is a no-brainer

If the divide had been Great Plains vs Great Lakes, where does Minnesota fall? I’m intrigued

For whatever reason we as a society has decided that the age of adulthood is 18. They are adults. Arbitrary? Maybe, but that’s what we’ve decided is the age when you can go .
off to war, vote, etc. Go ahead and start your personal crusade to push the age back to 23 or whatever, good luck

Spot on…no one in the US is investing anything anywhere until there is clarity. Sure insourcing with existing production facilities will be tried, but there won’t be much excess capacity if they running efficiently in the first place. Fixed overhead is a bitch.

@strongtowns.org is a great resource supporting the data on this topic!

Interesting, so the ability to land the ball around the 5-10 yard line is a new essential skill for kickers I guess?

Hey thanks for the rec, 3 episodes in and it’s delightfully fun!

Do you want to advance policy, or do you just want to be righteous? MLK’s greatest strength was picking the right battleground, if you keep picking the least popular ones you’ll be righteous and gain status with your in-group, but ineffective in advancing policy.

That being said, I do think the corner 3 should be eliminated by extending the line to the sideline

There are plenty of players that shoot plenty of mid range jumpers, Durant, Booker, Jimmy, Leonard, etc. What’s been driven out of the game are players that are really shitty at mid-range jumpers.
