The whole idea is offensive. I'm not a dog; I don't need to be trained. I need to be respected and to be met halfway instead of being forced to twist myself in knots for people who are ungrateful for the effort.

You're literally one of the first people I've ever seen discussing this. I've been heavy my whole life but wasn't dx'd autistic til age 28, ADHD til 31 (shock, I'm female). I've always wondered if my neurotype played a role in how I eat.

Major props to your dad, both for his degree and his anti-AI stance. My grandmother got her PhD at 52 after raising a family, and was a tenured professor at a major university for 30 years before she passed away. It's never too late.

It absolutely is not misogynistic OR ableist. Pregnancy fits the legal definition of a disability. It just happens to be temporary. I really find the gatekeeping distasteful, and I say that as a disabled woman.
