Yep, that sounds similar to the title I‘m used to!
I searched for a great horned owl and I think that fits a bit better. With Ezylryb it’s more the way his character is and what he did as a young owl.

I once did some research on garlic.
The smell comes from allicin which isn’t present in intact cloves so I now have the head canon that they’re deadly allergic to allicin (but it’s only for less than a minute in the human body, before it’s broken down and it doesn’t even enter the bloodstream…😔)
