I doubt that funding will return to pre-slashed levels. Much easier to reduce funds than build it up.

The problem with academics, including myself, is we champion rationalism.

The response to climate change is emotive and thus we should expect a doubling down.

Naturally, however, scapegoats will be brought forth to reprieve pent up anger.

Consequently, expect more conspiratorial lunacy.

I disagree, capital induces perverse incentives within large tech organisations.

These then lead to spammy and addictive platforms. Even this current platform will most likely go down the same route.

Actually, the problem might be the distribution of intensity. The spherical distribution of intensity needs to be uniform to reduce the blinding.

We can have both, the regulations simply need to be updated. Perhaps the regulations are currently set at power levels, would intensity be a better measure?
