overall review is that akira’s and natsuki’s smell the best. sho’s also smells good but for some reason the scent was very faint! so you have to use a bit more of it. reiji’s… I don’t remember much about except that it was what you’d expect for him, lol

we then came across the tokyo aliens perfumes!! and after a loooot of testing (both my friend and I were very tempted by natsuki’s, which smells so good) we decided that I would get akira and my friend would get sho and we’d share (by spraying the ones we got into smaller bottles and trading)!!

that said, very exciting for those (in the treehouse…?) who ARE working on it and I’m sure they’re making it fantastic!!

I will say there is one translator whose work I really enjoy reading (polly barton) and I purposely read everything she’s done. she consistently does an incredible job!

and also this translator renders ハンバーグ as “hamburger” which I personally hate because it makes zero sense if you’re reading with no deep knowledge of japanese culture/yoshoku dishes, which is most english readers

(my preferred translation for that is “hamburg steak.” it’s not perfect but it works)
