Yes the weather aspects of NOAA are still up and running even though they aren't getting paid. Forecasts will be at weather.gov still. They had to get help from retired forecasters for hurricane Melissa but they are getting it done.

I also wish people talked more about how huge it was that young people could stay on their parents insurance until 26. Before that your kids lost insurance at 18 unless you happened to work somewhere that let you cover them while at university. The month I graduated I was uninsured at 21.

We had some hiccups but nothing that stopped us getting all the badges we wanted. My very slow moving toucan never told me a wait time but I'm pretty sure that was my browser. Felt like old times...no idea when it might happen!

This was my reason when I cancelled "Caving to authoritarianism when you have a clear violation of the first amendment which you could easily fight in the courts is simply ridiculous considering the financial power your company wields. Shame on you. Do better."
