So much to say about pseudoscience and parenthood but here’s a good rule of thumb: stay very far away from white women who see pregnancy & motherhood as some gateway to a magical, exotic identity that disconnects them from reality. If they’re dressing like Frida Khalo then you run even faster.

The love bombing, the brainwashing, the lies…it reminds me of the groups that promote home birth to women who desperately need proper medicale care inside a hospital.

This is the reality of the so-called Baby Friendly hospitals that starve newborns trying to survive on drops of milk as their weight plummets and women recovering from birth lose their minds on no sleep

“It’s natural” and it was natural for breastfed babies to die in their thousands. It’s 2025 and rehospitalisation rates for skinny, jaundiced newborns are rising but it’s deemed a success if they’re exclusively breastfeed.

Telling parents that a lifesaving invention like formula is bad for the planet is insane. Formula and breastfeeding are completely equal choices and the benefits of the latter are hugely overblown.

Formula & breast milk are equal (I do not debate this, you can research yourself) but even if a study announced breast milk is magic it still wouldn’t matter because the best outcome is a baby gaining weight& parents not going mad.We need to support ALL forms of infant feeding with THAT goal in mind

Anyway, big up the Infant Feeding Alliance. They are such a tonic when you’ve been exposed to all the lies and cults around breastfeeding.
