Every year I try to write down nice things that happen and put them in a jar, so on New Year's I can go through it and remind myself what was good last year. I just went through the 2025 jar, and this is easily the funniest thing I've ever decided needed to be committed to writing.

Just watched Desert Heart (1985) and the cinematography was lovely and the needle drops exquisite, but most importantly WHO is this man and WHY can't I even figure out who he is in the credits to find out why he looks so familiar????

New Invasive A.I. warning: Zoom just turned on their A.I. "companion" without my consent (it's a "free trial" because I'm "valued customer"), and I had to log in to the website in order to turn it off -- all of these were toggled on. There are no A.I. settings accessible from the software itself.

Me, who has a nonbinary best friend and has spent the last decade talking with them about gender: I've really thought about this, and I'm confident saying I'm a cis woman, nothing else makes sense.
