Main stream media, particularly the tabloid press, fueled the fire blaming immigration. People lapped it up! Certain Politicians too spouted lies, 52% were easily sold!
November 20, 2025 at 8:41 AM
Yep 💯 52% couldnt see through the lies they were sold and believed in a simplistic view of trade and international relations. Other people knew it was a terrible idea! Sadly not enough people! Ironically asylum and immigration hasn't improved and is arguable worse. These people still dont see it.

Brexit seemed to be the UK catalyst. Before that Europe was pretty centred. Europe after the second world war wasnt far right. It's developed in my life time id say. Interesting, deffo the nazi rhetoric now in Europe and USA. History repeating.

Yes thats true, you're right. It is the same. Interesting insight. The whole world seems to be following the US lead and swinging to the right too. Europe follows the USA. What a terrible state of affairs.

Oh thats good, just been awake but hey ho. Snow! Grrr

Massively lacking a moral compass! Probably his idols, rich and powerful! Doing stuff he'd probably love to do!

That doesnt look a worry mate! Only slightly raised.

Oh really, I thought KKK membership was massively in decline. I'd have thought the group would be classed as a domestic terrorist organisation, but I can see that it wasn't. Im surprised it was legal! That's absolutely shocking!

Ah did you, they are amazing tho. My parents are retired so hes the focus of their day. My dad was decorating. Casually said "oh they loved Monty in the paint shop" I said "you took him to buy paint"....goes everywhere tho! 😆 Very pampered. 😆
November 19, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Hahaha Monty loves it. He loves people there, and my mum wraps his presents too! Honestly, last year he had a dog advent calender too! Its ridiculous! 😂😂
November 19, 2025 at 3:20 PM
Yep, i bet. It sounds like you've done the best thing. I think after my parents I'll do something similar. I'd not go to my brothers without them. I must admit I dread it... 3 solid days of festivities! Boxing day comes as a relief! Let's get back to normal! 😆
November 19, 2025 at 3:19 PM
I dont blame them! Wow this is all so similar. Families and big occasion pressure brings out the worst in some people, I think. What a carry on. I really can see why. A taxi must have been a fortune too.
November 19, 2025 at 3:16 PM
Hahaha, so many similarities to me! Yep it sounds potentially uncomfortable and especially if you're in their house. I know the type of person I think! 😂😂
November 19, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Oh that sounds lovely. Can't beat pasta and wine. I can see how that would be better. Also much easier than a christmas dinner.
November 19, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Thankful these days everyone has mellowed (although my sister in law is still a pain in the ass). We all tolerate each other, touch wood! I'm glad to go home tho! 😂😂😂
November 19, 2025 at 3:11 PM
Hahaha he'd get on with my dad! They sound two peas! What a horror show that sounds. One year my now sister in law / then girlfriend kicked off at my mum and left (had been living with my parents). The same woman one year uninvited me on christmas eve. Spent it with the dog on my own! Wasnt bad! 😂
November 19, 2025 at 3:10 PM
What do you have, just a normal meal? Sounds like a nice chilled day without the pressure.
November 19, 2025 at 3:04 PM
The one thing I do like is my brother's christmas dinner. He's a great cook and its restaurant standard. Puts so much effort into it. But you have to tell him how good it is until March! 😆
November 19, 2025 at 3:03 PM
I didnt like it much, my dad hated it and made it miserable. He's mellowed with age, thankful. One year came down and said "let's get it over with" 😆 Another year pretended to be ill to stay in bed all day. Not exactly chocolate box perfect 😂😂

I think it's boring as a rule outside tournaments. There's always exceptions, such as the Scotland game. England bored me to tears tho.

Maybe once if people had these thoughts - racism, sexism, xenophobia etc they talked about them with like-minded friends only. With social media, it draws groups together to become a movement. So it's then seen as acceptable and main stream.
November 19, 2025 at 2:43 PM
Yep, social media has a big part to play, I'd say. I do think there are some people, not all, who will take information on social media as gospel without any fact-checking. Making it easier to push certain ideologies. Some also lack critical thinking, I'd said too. 🤔
