Tommy Lee Jones directed some standout neo-westerns like The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) and The Homesman (2014). I could also watch oldies like Warlock (1959) or Vera Cruz (1954) on repeat or any old noir-influenced western.

Saw a top 10 Westerns list in my feed, so thought I'd do one of my own.

Bought all of these for … $1.60 because prices don’t mean anything. All in beautiful condition. The lady at the till said “you will not believe our minimum threshold for tap.”

It was just an accident (2025) by Jafar Panahi is now available to watch at home, I’d highly recommend it. It’s like watching some countries’ past, the present of others and maybe the future too.

It’s a bit sad that English language CBC’s NYE show has nothing like this “interpretive dance to things lost in 2025 like the carbon tax” from Bye Bye 2025. Two solitudes, man.
