It's mother's day here in Australia. 🇦🇺
Here's my wish-list, according to my 8 year old.
She's not wrong 😂🥰

"Australian people have voted for Australian values"
BOO YAH!!
It's a bloody landslide, 87 seats in the upper house and counting.
Can't help but feel proud that my fellow citizens sent such a clear message.
See ya never, Dutton.
Take your whack nuclear plan with you.

HUGE sigh of relief here in Australia! We've said NO to the conservatives. Actually, not just no, we've given them the middle finger and ran as fast as we could in the opposite direction.
There's no way they'll win now.
Even Dutton lost his seat....GOOOOOONE!! Byeeeee, Felicia 👋

Yet another beautiful and warm yet highly unseasonal day here in Canberra. Normally by now we've had frost, with chilly nights and mornings. There's a saying here that you should not your heater on before ANZAC day (April 25). Snowballs chance in hell of heaters being turned on early this year ☀️🌡😕

A few weeks ago I gave a presentation at the NASEM workshop on impact attribution. At 7.30am local time, clashing perfectly with getting 3 kids out the door. My middle one joined me and no doubt provided some entertainment for everyone. she loved pulling faces in the camera!

Gorgeous (but unseasonal and a bit concerning) weather in Canberra - high 20's for days on end. This should be a dream for generating home solar, but due to the grid not coping with so much of it, our system shuts down for hours on end. Infuriating to see so much clean energy literally go to waste.

Other than getting my location wrong, I think that blueskyroast.com was on the mark for me 😅

Summer days in Australia.....brand new play ground (✅️), no shade (❌️).
At least there was water play but like all the other equipment it was really hot to touch too.
Something that the ACT government planning should have considered more carefully 🤔

Heatwaves are imminent over parts of Australia, particularly the south-east.
Stay safe, stay cool.
Be smart, and check on your loved ones to make sure they stay cool, too.
