I feel I've seen more Clouded Yellow this year too.
How did you get on with the Waxcaps? Co-incidentally, the prime purpose of my walk was for fungi, in particular Waxcaps too!

They tend to be found in gardens and parks growing on rotting material such as leaf litter, mulches and wood chip. These were growing in a community orchard. They are unusual here in UK, but more likely along south coast. I believe they are more frequent in warmer regions of southern/central Europe.

That's interesting, I visited a woodland (Dorset) last weekend and also saw masses of Honey Fungus - far more than I ever recall seeing there before.
