I finished How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by @djangowexler.bsky.social last night and absolutely loved it! I had to order the sequel straight away. SO funny and full of heart. I'm going to be recommending it to every fantasy fan I know 🖤

My first draft is done 😭😭😭 It's actual garbage but it EXISTS. I was so worried about re-writing my YA fantasy as adult but I think it works and I'm so excited to delve into planning the second draft 🖤

Had a great time today at Andmore, a fan-run event celebrating the talent behind the camera for Andor! It was so cool to hear from graphic designers, set decorators, droid builders and more. I also got to show Barry Gingell my tattoo of his crest design and he gave me a fist bump 😀

I didn't do much today besides reading SPEAR by Nicola Griffith (@nicolaz.bsky.social), and this book truly felt made for me - a gender-bent, queer retelling of the Arthurian story of Peretur. Beautifully written & taking inspiration from different strands of Celtic mythology, I just loved it.
