I tried to have fun last night. I bought some film with cute little ghosts on it from my film shop. It was fun even if moving through a huge crowd cause me to shake and stun the whole night!!

When I was 14 during my first stay at a mental hospital, a girl my age with an infant said she checked herself in to get a break.

Sometimes we think the mental hospital is the place to get those breaks. But now I take those breaks through travel and feeling/looking my best with people I love.

My aunt before she had schizophrenia and decades later right before she died during the pandemic. She was a very stylish woman with flair and often showed that after her disorder wrecked her life. I think about her a lot when I think about my possible fate. Another aunt says I remind her of her.

Pittsburgh rainbows are a nice break from busy New York City!

Had a great weekend attending my cousin's wedding in the Bay. I am cooped up with writing so much that I barely get time to dress up anymore.

Being from a Vietnamese family means I will be attending about 15 more cousin weddings until everyone finds their person!

Collaborating with the Exec Director & founder of Students With Psychosis, previous astrophysicist, and popular schizophrenia advocate, Cecilia McGough and I are bringing new perspectives on what it means to live with dreams when people say you can't have them in Not a Delusion.

After our diagnoses thwarted our dreams of becoming physicists and artists, we turned to change ideas about schizophrenia to lay the foundation for the rest of our lives. We are addressing these challenges to inspire others to do the same. Does schizophrenia truly have ti limit us?

Milei the new "fascist" president is cutting off funding for a public mental hospital that primarily serves LGBT community. Doctors are no longer working, so citizens have been protesting. I went tonight.

I'm in Argentina doing research about the de-funding of public mental hospitals and visited the largest one in the country. These are the only shots I got since cameras are technically prohibited. The new Trump-like president of Argentina is ceasing federal aid.

I know NVC is very popular in the self help world but I am starting to think many of these psych strategies are narrow minded. I used NVC since I was a teen (14ish yrs ago) & when I started exploring other cultures people would say I talked too much about myself so yeah... don't really recommend lol

Today I went to Philadelphia and worked with some talented voice actors to experiment portraying my hallucinations in sound and film. Working on this film has been very cathartic, vulnerable, but fun so far. Can't wait to show you the preview.
