I love writing & blogging for that reason! It's irl communication that feels especially damaged to me - people are so intellectually hybridized now, without a bank of citable resources at the ready it's like people are afraid to think freestyle

The most tedious form of communication is heresay, and this flav of flexing based on how much shit you consume & recall is ostentatiously status-centered, insecure and exclusionary. What can anyone else contribute to all that hot air

I don't do parenting perfectly but when a rotten neoliberal mode enters the mix I name it as such and we talk about better paths and the skills needed to build them, then we focus on building those skills

And truly the climate action that most urgently needs to happen is holding industrial offenders and wealthy consumers accountable to public wellbeing. At this point any messaging that puts the onus on the public at large is dogshit. But god forbid we make our funders uncomfortable

The Alberta gov't is seizing what they think is an unsinkable, unstoppable Christian Nationalist movement. They're not "scared" or "creating distractions" or "covering up". They believe they're stepping into the light and by mid 2026 they'll be deporting immigrants
