You know MSRP? It stands for "manufacturers' suggested retail price". It's suggested because once it's on the shelf the retailer sets the price. And crucially the retailer *has already paid the publisher for the game*. Why would the publisher then get to dictate the retailer makes less profit?

It's an Amazon sale, not an EA sale. Amazon gets zero dollars from the microtransactions.
