It feels like a flattening of what people do like how video essayists/streamers get dubbed "content creator", right? Like there's an unconscious desire to separate what people do (scripting, storyboarding, recording, editing, interviewing in the case of an essayist) from their title for some reason?

I had the problem of "department didn't realize prof's sabbatical was this semester so they hired a prof from a different department to cover 8 days before classes started" in grad school and it's just wild how so much of hiring/staffing at universities is the worst parts of "just in time" shipping

It's such a good investigation into that space of self-reflection a person feels when they've been "doing gender" for a while. Been thinking too much about this while writing an essay about a close topic, was really nice to hear your thoughts!

I think there was some update where a "put in a birthdate" field was added and it reset moderation settings. Noticed the same thing a month or so ago
