Several opera houses have refused to work with star soprano Anna Netrebko. However, on Thursday she performed the title role in Puccini's Tosca at the Royal Opera House in London. It is unfortunate that the UK continues to support Putin's admirers.

These successes can be understood in grand terms – soft power, nation branding and diplomatic flanking manoeuvres. However, there is surely also a simpler explanation. People in the West are bored.

Pārsteidz politiķu nespēja saskatīt cik smagi "nolaists" ir Latvijas Radio Unas Klapkalnes vadībā. Viņas darbs nav publiski vērtēts no mediju analītikas viedokļa. Lai gan ar to vajadzēja sākt, pirms virzīt tālāk.

Dīvaini, ka Latvijas medijos turpina piesaukt auto ražotāju brīdī kad kāds slikts šoferis avarē: "Smaga avārija Rīgā - "Volvo" ar diviem maziem bērniem lielā ātrumā ietriecas citā auto". It kā Volvo ražotājs būtu vainīgs pie tā, ka Rīgā kāds nemāk braukt.

TV berättelse om Sverige och kriget. Blev obehagligt överraskad av hur de lettiska legionärerna förklarades. Varför sattes de lettiska legionärerna ihop med de tyska soldaterna och tolkades på samma sätt? Letterna var ju trots allt tvångsrekryterade av den tyska ockupationsmakten.
