Haven’t posted for ages. Had some health issues to deal with but the worst is behind me.
I’m working on a few commissions but they are holiday gifts so under wraps until January.
In the meantime here’s a painting I did of our dog Bella who we sadly lost about 4 years ago.

Love it. When my neighbors moved they asked if we would take over feeding the squirrels and chipmunks. This lovely lady lets me know if I’m late putting out almonds for them.

I had a moment last night where I was overwhelmed with the thought that the bad guys are winning. Tough one for someone like me who grew up truly believing that good triumphs over evil.

A number of years ago I was able to get permission from an incredible photographer in the Czech Republic to paint some of their white deers.
They seemed so magical to me.
I think it’s time to paint some more of them.

I ran across a post by an artist who said one of the most important things is to keep posting your work. Doesn’t have to be new work.
With that in mind (since I haven’t picked up a brush in months) here is a photo of a tiger painting I did several years ago as a gift for my sister in law.

Thank you! I’ve only painted two marine paintings, both as gifts for my brother. A guy at an art store once told me most people can’t paint ships and shouldn’t even try because they end up looking amateur. Kinda discouraged me from going in that direction.
