Two weeks ago my daughter and I took 162 pounds of dry and canned good to the local food bank. That was just our contribution. We pick up a couple of things every time we go to the stor and when we have the Rubbermaid tote full, we drive it to the food bank.

back when I was a Navy corpsman, there always had to be a femal "stand-by" in the room for ANY examination of a woman or girl by a male physician.

He was a good friend of the Royal Governor, William Tryon (who used tax monies raised from his own abuse of taxes) to build a fancy palace in New Bern. When Tryon left for NY, Fanning went with him to act as his personal; secretary.

Fanning charged 6 Shillings to regiser a deed. He was taken to trial for abuse of fees and extortion. Found guilty of the extortion only and then appealed to London where it was dismmissed. The result was a riot, he was gragged through the streets, his house was burned.

One of the most nortorious "villans" of the Regulator War was Edmund Fanning, the Registrar of deed for Orange County. The going rate was 2 shiilings 8 pence, about a days wages for a skilled tradesman.

The 1755 Short-bread recipe from Elizabeth Cleland’s book is quite in demand. I make two batches in successive nights, about 8-9 dozen. Two dozen for our each of the 2 Loyalist regiments, 2 dozen for the park rangers/volunteers & 2dozen for the Scottish Society at the annual battle commemoration.

I was entering a military base. I’m a widow of an active duty sailor. Gate guard looks at my ID & says you need your husband w/you. I told him to go dig up the body at the Alpine, TX cemetery. Sgt of the Guard was behind him and 🤦‍♂️. Saw me later on and said good job on teaching him to read ID cards.

Oh yeah, I’m a volunteer at out at Moores Creek as a Loyalist with my stash of reprint of 18th century Scottish cookbooks. 😁

Cornwallis went on to Fort Moultrie. Result of Moores Creek Loyalist defeat - Halifax Resolves/NC first to declare for independence.

Moores Creek missing as well. Cornwallis was supposed to join up w/MacDonald’s Royal Highland Emigrant Regiment but was delayed by weather & fleet issues. By the time he reached the area, the Loyalists were defeated at Moore’s Creek.

All I can say to that is “Eeewwwwww!”
November 21, 2025 at 10:16 PM

People probably up to no good so they swap out the plates on the cars they use.

They need to file against Vance and the cabinet as well. Article 2, Section 4 of the Constitution permits it.
