I’m going to try out the Documentation plugin for #Discourse. Our community has outgrown wiki’s of one page with tables of hundreds of game recipes that cannot be searched by our players. Time to have everything indexed and searchable properly I think.

And now I also made it so that our #Discourse welcome banner also changes on seasons and holidays. A living skin!

Made a little javascript on our #Discourse banner that rotates the sub-header based on if you are logged in or anonymous. Logged in user subheading will rotate on a daily basis - forum.slcolonies.com, check it out. I also added little tag icons for fun.

I’ve been doing 30 minutes of #skipping every day, with about 100 #pushups and #situps. But with my cardio health up, wasn’t pushing beyond 140bpm. Throw in claps in the pushups, and I peaked at the 170 range - woohoo! Progress.

Well, I finished playing around with #Discourse for the night. I setup a category in our community forums with an RSS feed to see how it works and if it’s worth keeping for cross-posting purposes to my community for #SLColonies.

I’ve been fiddling around with our #Discourse forum most of the day. I am trying to move my community away from #Discord. My community is not active in live chat, and guiding them into the forums as our community HUB seems the smarter idea.

Found this in my “to-do” pile of photos to edit and realised just how beautiful this was. Thought I would share it with the world. This was taken on a day trip down to #CapeSchanck in #Victoria. It is a beautiful Black-Shouldered Kite hunting for its prey. It was along the coast line.

brought the laptop to work because we have our Christmas party on in a few hours after work, and not worth driving back and forth in traffic. Seems trying to procrastinate from a work location isn’t as easy as I thought. Also forgot any games I had were installed on my external SSD 🕹️

Meta buys AI wearable startup Limitless to expand devices news.kagi.comKagi News https://news.kagi.com/s/egcp4r
Interesting. Never heard about limitless before now. Wearables that listen to you all day? Not sure I would trust meta with that data personally. But something local and on device?
Meta buys AI wearable startup Limitless to expand devices
Meta is acquiring US-based startup Limitless, which builds an AI pendant that captures real-world conversations and turns them into searchable transcripts and summaries, as part of its push into AI-enabled consumer hardware beyond headsets and glasses. Limitless CEO Dan Siroker said the team will join Meta to help realize the company’s vision of bringing "personal superintelligence" to a wide audience through wearable devices. The startup previously raised over $33 million and started with Rewind, a desktop tool that recorded a user’s on-computer activity and made it queryable through a chatbot, before moving into hardware with the clip-on Pendant microphone. Following the deal, Limitless will stop selling new Pendants but will keep existing devices running for at least a year, drop subscription charges for current users, and offer tools for people to export or delete their stored data, reflecting both the promise and privacy sensitivities of always-listening AI wearables.

So tired today. Got home at 2 AM from work and had 4 hours sleep. Now I’m really feeling it at 5 PM. I will get a nap in when I get home from the girls dancing I think. Can’t function much anymore 🛌

Just watered the new #garden - growing well and still looking good.

Let’s see what all the fuss is all about with these smart bottles. Maybe I’ll drink more water? Got myself one from #HydrateSpark

Just spent a few hours in #DayOne going through all my entries that I auto-populated by importing my blog from #Microblog into it - just had to remove all the extra coding blocks and caption blocks that wouldn’t look so well when I go to print my first yearly book of entries.

Back in March I made a comment about Elon Musks wealth and how, if it were the date 1 CE, and you were to spend money every day for 2,025 years, you could spend (then) $400,000 a day. Today, you could now spend $676,000 per day and not run out of cash.

Emergency coffee grain for that much needed espresso at work on long shifts.

Thought it a good idea to bring along 😛

I’ve been using #DayOne more frequently. I imported all of my #MicroBlog posts into it and now keeping my microblog and more personal blog in two separate journals. I’m planning to print my first book to look back on 2025.

Today was a win! Someone noticed my weight loss, and an old 2009 photo fuelled my motivation. Despite hunger at hour 14 of fasting, willpower kept me strong. It’s all about progress and sticking to the plan! 💪✨

Slow Sunday vibes ☕️
Started the morning with a good sleep, an espresso, and checking in on the SL Colonies Black Friday surge (🔥 lots of excitement around Questing!).

I feel high. The same high you get before a trip kicks in on mushrooms… But I haven’t consumed anything (in years). Wonderful feeling of elation.

Oh how I love @Microblog. Here I was wasting hours in trying to convert .md files to import into Day One, only to realise the micro.blog Mac app has an export into Day One feature built in… more hidden features… I so needed this one too!

When I want to watch a documentary these days, or a movie – nothing beats putting on a #VR headset and watching it on #BigScreen!

So I managed to convert my #AppleJournal entries and import them as JSON into #DayOne so that I don’t have to start on a blank slate. Now I can make use of #MicroBlog automatically pushing my public entries to my DayOne journal 📓
