My partner is Lithuanian— and she would wholeheartedly agree! To eat & be healthy in America takes intention, time, resources. It’s a both/and systems-level problem crossing many sectors. Progress in any area is great but yeah, the danger here is at what cost to other areas of public health

Food banker here — neighbors in our food lines are also attuned to and frustrated with our food culture and very primed to blame Big Food, albeit maybe for different things— so I think his appeal on this front has a very wide base
