This straight up confirms to me that Bethesda leadership hate animal races. No wonder the Khajiit in Skyrim had, like, next to nothing going on beyond a few caravans.

Something that’ll never not frustrate me too, game that’s like “everybody is an animal in this world!!! Except the player”

It does come off as some kind of “human exceptionalism” thing, an inherent belief that people cannot (or should not) be capable of sympathizing or empathizing with non-human characters, and so they shove a human in no matter how little it makes sense. Or even “only a human can save the universe”

Whatsis about a third beast race?

I wonder how possible it’d be to set something up like this to tie up “customer service” lines that employ this kind of “ai”

Make it cost the companies as much as possible

Only times age restriction makes sense
A: known terrible side effects that only affect certain age ranges
B) some limitation that makes it difficult to manufacture in large numbers, so the most affected are prioritized

And even then, a demo shift should call for re-evaluation

Will definitely add those books to my list, then again my to-read list is maybe a couple hundred long atm

Honestly what we need to bring back is dedicated online spaces for kids, like Club Penguin and stuff (preferably without predatory monetization) just with good moderation to watch out for troublemakers etc
