Kelly has managed to appeal to left and right in Arizona, something that is somewhat short of miraculous these days. This case is going nowhere.

Mark Kelly has managed to appeal to left and right in Arizona. This will not end well for Kegsbreath.

Pin it: when everything crashes, these three companies will be at the head of the line with their hands out claiming they’re “too big to fail”.

I can’t wait for the predictably awful reaction Vance will have over this.

Michael Jackson laid down the lead vocals of “Billie Jean” in one take. I’m always awed at that fact when I hear the song.

It’s also a standard rich person “solution” to a problem: just give them money and they will go away.

(Think $5K DOGE checks, $1K payoffs to self-deport, $50K signing bonuses to join ICE). It’s a racket, extortion, and a hush money scheme all rolled into one.

My penance is the D-Backs always fall 2 games short of the playoffs every year since! 🤣

Amazingly I’m on this track! All books queued up, with a few sports bios wedged in between to keep my sanity intact.

I’m reading Nixonland right now, and I do believe Mr. Perlstein had (unknowingly?) nailed the coming of Trump with his observations on the rise of Nixon in the Nixon vs. the liberal elite scenes of 1952.

This is the next generation of Tesla trucks. If you buy one, you have too much money and you have no idea what to do with it.

“Accountability” doesn’t always mean criminal trials and jail time. It could mean not following (and leveraging) these fools to the next big thing, whatever that is.

You simply cannot surround yourself with incessant gambling promotions and advertising and say, “IT’S OK! WE GOT THIS!” as your athletes get taken down one by one for gambling on their own sport.
November 9, 2025 at 7:47 PM
First, I think we all feel reasonably confident that the enablers of the AI bubble burst will likely not be held accountable (I.e. “too big to fail”).

Second, at some point, the ecosystem of casinos, sports leagues/teams, and media dependent on legalized sports gambling needs to face a reckoning.

I’m definitely not saying it’ll be sunshine & roses if/when she wins some sort of control, but she’s saying what every other R won’t publicly say because she sees a chance (and because 47 stiffed her senate dreams).

Rs can’t win the shutdown + Epstein. She’s choosing the side sensible people go to.

Sheff is overdue, although his surliness in Milwaukee and playing on some average Padres teams won’t help him.

Correct. In 10-20 years there may be a spectacular step up from AI 1.0, but the tech bros’ notion that we’re all going to quit our jobs and move to a peaceful neighborhood on Mars next year is just beyond ridiculous.
October 31, 2025 at 10:37 PM
This is where it was always going to go: When the dust settles, consumers and most corporations will use the cheapest AI system that merely “gets the job done”.

It likely will come from China, and the billions of dollars being set on fire by American tech bros will be all for naught.

I love how Cissy Houston changed the lyrics of the mode of transportation and destination (from the FT in 2017):

Former director of broadcasting for a sports team here. It’s all about “access” and/or a sponsored element. The former says, “we’re here live for you!” while the latter is all about added value for a major advertising supporter.

Even with local/team media, most players & coaches don’t like doing it

I’ve only been there for two Brewers games, definitely want an extended visit some day.

Hats off to your marketing team. I will be sharing this as a smart advertisement that meets the moment in my marketing classes!

His brother Gary was the band’s first manager. He not only had the stutter, but the line “you need to get educated, go to school” is something that apparently Gary used to say.

“You see? No shock. No... engulfment. No tearing asunder. What you feared would come like an explosion, is like a whisper. What you thought was the end, the beginning.”

My wife and I took the verrrrry long walk from terminal D to C on a connector out of Canada while coming home from our honeymoon. It was a unique terminal to say the least.

Passed through there in September 2009. Such a funky airport, I wish they could have kept it around. Definitely straight out of the 60s.
