Ultimately I am very grateful that indies made such an impact this year, as it also did last year. There is a great love and need for human creation, now more than ever, and regardless what Wall Street thinks, humans can create a more poignant and resonant art than anything AI generates.

That said... don't stream this lol. I think that's pretty obvious but it's definitely not stream friendly, even if you are just planning on streaming this in a discord server or whatever. If it's between close friends, that's probably okay, but I do think general public may struggle w/ it.

Nothing explicit is shown—everything is censored or cropped out or black screen—but the implications are explicit and almost clubs you over the head with these themes. In that sense, I feel like even the more uncritically minded would “get it” but I have been surprised by some audiences before.

I will say for anyone who is interested in checking it out: heed the content warnings. The themes explored are pretty dark for anyone who isn’t familiar with darker media material. But, it is a worthwhile story. It smacks of Catholic Italian guilt in a way that doesn’t shy from the more grotesque.

I am more disgusted by some of the stuff that ends up on the New & Trednding page of Steam than I am about HORSES, and you can still self-select, filter, and protect yourself from those types of games. Nothing makes you play them or even view them, so to ban HORSES is just ridiculous.
