Thing is, I'm not pro Salah 😂 I'm very much in favour of moving away from being Salah FC.

xG at HT was pretty much even.

Yeah, the game against WHU showed potential Imo.

I really, really dislike the narrative being pushed that everything was sound until Konate had a brainfart. Leeds could've made the same point with Rodon passing to Ekitike.
December 8, 2025 at 12:03 PM
Until the Rodon fuckup, Leeds looked generally comfortable.

Can flip it and say we've played WHU, Sunderland and Leeds and won one.

But it feels a bit Rodgers by going to the extreme to 'fix' something. It'll all collapse if you don't sort the underlying issue.

Funny seeing how different the narrative now is.

They would've forgotten about it by now if there was a plan in place though

Can't be Salah FC if you spend £100m on Wirtz and want Isak. But then you can't justify his salary if he's not hitting big numbers and you can't accommodate him physically if Dom isn't the #10.

We played to the strengths of Isak and Wirtz. One was named Man of the Match and the other scored his first Premier League goal for the Reds. It worked.
December 1, 2025 at 7:54 PM
This chance comes about after a Van Dijk pass into Isak is intercepted only for Wirtz to pick up the loose ball. Isak then finds Gomez out wide and the right-back attacks the byline before crossing.

Our counter pressing was loads better, as was our build up. Helps when you're able to get Szoboszlai and Wirtz into central areas.

We didn't have Kerkez and Gomez underlapping and occupying spaces you don't want your fullbacks in. We didn't have the LW and RW looking to cut inside and shoot.
December 1, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Gakpo still cut inside from the left but he was making more runs in behind than usual, likely a result of Wirtz being in the team. We also had Kerkez playing more of his natural game.
December 1, 2025 at 7:53 PM
Gomez was a traditional full-back, keeping the width, stretching the play and looking to get the ball into the box.
December 1, 2025 at 7:53 PM
Instead of being sandwiched between two shot heavy wide forwards, we had more of a right sided midfielder against West Ham in Szoboszlai. He was basically a facilitator.

Grav is becoming a huge issue in possession now
