Gay, married, oldish, tax professional, siaradwr Cymraeg (tipyn bach). Politically, economically and environmentally aware, so lean very far left by American standards, but basically Democratic socialist by European standards.
McDs was Green Zebra and various restaurants before that, including Pietro's Pizza. There's a diner next door, a taquería across the street and a bar & grill 150ft away that all serve burgers and breakfast -- AND Mike's Drive-in on the other side of the SBX! 2/2

The SBX (former Arby's) lot is basically a city block and had been empty quite a while. The building is in the middle, so hard to subdivide without moving it. The space behind (ex-school/community center) became multifamily housing, which we'd prefer more of. 1/2

We live a block from that Starbucks. There was some resistance before the build, but it died out. There was greater ire at the McDonald's opening up 2 blocks away (no drive-thru, but a separate "McDelivery" area). We couldn't get the Kenton Neighbourhood Association to provide a united front.

I would add that preventing a valid and legal ballot from being counted should bear the same penalties as casting an illegal ballot.

There is a mechanism for removing corrupt justices, but it's impeachment and has to get through both houses of Congress.

The tax attorney/advisor may be overkill unless getting assets instead of cash, but it can depend on the source: usually inheritance isn't taxable, but if the $$ comes from a tax-deferred retirement account, it will be & spreading draws over a decade would be better tax-wise.

If Fireball is too sweet for you (it really is for me), try Sinfire.

In the places I know about, states defer property taxes until they die and grab it all on the next property transfer. It's like reverse mortgages, saving Paul by robbing Peter.

If you were due a refund, you already paid more taxes than you should. And if they owe you, get after them to pay you... plus interest!

So is Rollins accusing that judge of violating the Hatch Act? Federal judges cannot legally make partisan political donations.
