You’re right. It is. People prefer to ask for forgiveness than to learn to forgive themselves. Forgiving yourself involves understanding your intentions, calling yourself out on your shit, holding yourself accountable, and growing. Forgive and forget doesn’t exist …. it’s avoidance.

This is why I stay away from most people. Most people are stuck as fucked up kids who never grew (or grew very little) emotionally. They avoid their problems, justify their actions, and don’t know how to properly analyze their triggers. Pacification is weak and probably why Religion is tax exempt

Exactly. I only ever went by my gut growing up. I always knew something was seriously fucked up. After graduating Anger Management and making changes to myself, I realized it was a severe lack of emotional intelligence. We weren’t taught shit growing up.
