I visited a local wetland recently to catch a few bird photos & while I was wandering around I snapped images of mangroves growing along the waterway. Mangroves persistently amaze me with their beauty and form.

The roots of a mangrove tree have spread out around the base of the tree and the trunk has been shaped by exposure to the natural harsh elements. A wooden shelter constructed on the beach made from driftwood and rocks on a beach in front of a mangrove forest. The roots of another mangrove tree spread out in star shaped pattern looking for nutrients in this dynamic coastal environment.
