Seattleite. Urbanist. Democrat.
From my personal experience in tech, people are going to live where they want to live when the distance is as small as it is between Bellevue and Seattle. I'm sure it makes a difference at the margins but there are big differences in lifestyle between Seattle, Bellevue, and suburbs which matter more

I don't know, if not now then when? I probably never would have heard about it if she didn't do this.

Considering all of the possible MGP wildcard votes/actions I'm just glad to agree with her for once. Voting for the Republican bill is obviously back to normal for her.

Yes, but reading about this Illinois thing I agree with her that this is extremely bad faith. Situations like this should require that the filing window be reopened.

Yes, of course I didn't mean to minimize the contributions at the doors either. You all crushed it!

I'll add here that I think Harrell's child care attacks backfired big time even among what we'd consider generally well off parents. Folks in my non-political group chats were *pissed* that he was so obtuse and mean spirited about the cost of care.

I'm sure it was! I just went off of the software devs/engineers on the first page of the PDC report, it adds up fast!

I'm sure tech workers who live on Capitol Hill are proponents of painting a bus lane on Denny! The ones who are opposed don't live in Seattle so they want to get to I-5 asap.

I don't think we have polling by occupation but I really doubt that young highly educated tech workers are voting for Bruce Harrell or Sarah Nelson in large numbers.
