I’m an 80’s brat and thought the same thing when Foreigner performed Cold as Ice. I did not see that coming.

Yes! I am a fairly new subscriber so I am not accustomed to the packaging yet. The issues are always a delightful surprise!

I received mine in the mail today, and wow, just wow.

I will never forget the pain and rage I felt about the Iraq war. I thought I could never feel pain and rage like that again based on the actions of our administration. Well, here we are. They are monsters, all of them.

I never made fun of Kirk’s murder. Not once. I don’t mourn him, but I certainly don’t celebrate his death either. I don’t know how that conclusion was reached from my comment about tr$mp belittling women.

God, I would love to see a moment like this for all of the women tr$mp has belittled over the years.

Aww, congratulations! She is beautiful, and so are you! Blessings to all of you.

Palaver is on my TBR pile too, and I am looking forward to it. Memorial was so, so good.

If looks could kill-yikes!

But, are there at least concepts of a plan?

I read Small Things Like These every year just before Christmas. It is officially a tradition of mine.

Alabama better redeem itself this time around. Ohio too.
November 23, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Exactly. It makes me sick. Ukraine deserves so much better than this garbage.

I read a lot, and I read a lot about books, but this one missed my radar somehow. Now, I feel excited to check it out!

We are so deeply unwell in this country. I have to believe we will recover from this someday, but admittedly, I just don’t see how at the moment.

It shocks me that people still don’t realize that we Dems are like hamsters. We will absolutely sacrifice our own if their conduct is unbecoming or outright criminal. I realize my hamster comparison lost a little steam there but I’ve made my point.

This is perfection. We need to keep protesting and speaking out against this inhumanity.
November 20, 2025 at 6:47 PM
I think Mamdani should cancel the meeting after trump’s post about executing Democrats.
November 20, 2025 at 6:27 PM
Aww, I wish her a fast and comfortable recovery. You as well!

The Barn: The Secret History of a Murder in Mississippi by Wright Thompson. I’m not sure this fulfills all of your criteria, but it is a very compelling and deeply informative book about the murder of Emmett Till.Thompson’s lens is wide and deep in his examination of Till’s murder. No one is spared.

He relinquished his role as some board member alongside rich a**holes but thought he could retain his role as college instructor. We are deeply unwell in this country.
