Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is one of my all-time favorite games, and in the game you propose with a blue feather. But yeah the dinner was so bad that he panicked and didn't say anything.

Me: Does this mean...?
Him: ...Yeah.

Paul the real estate novelist who never had time for a wife and Davey who's still in the navy and probably will be for life. New headcannon: everyone in that song is gay except the Piano Man who has no idea he's playing at a gay bar and the staff and regulars have a betting pool on how long he'll take to finally figure it out. So far John is ahead. That makes the "man what are you doing here" line way funnier. "Now John at the bar is a friend of mine who gets me my drinks for free." Dude he has a crush on you. "The manager gives me a smile 'cause he knows that it's me they've been coming to see" also implies that the Piano Man is possibly an incredibly attractive but oblivious himbo, and if you listen to the rest of it imagining that, this all fits a little too well.

Junie seemed desperate, like she was afraid for us to leave her at that moment. She looked at me, though her vision must have been blurry with tears. My eyes were welling up too, my own emotions threatening to boil over. “Y-you get it, right?” she asked me, her breathing ragged. “Get it?” I asked, disbelief in my voice. “Are you seriously REDACTED?” I couldn’t hide the derision I was feeling. I tasted bile at the back of my throat. “I can’t REDACTED,” she said. “Even if I want to, I can’t. REDACTED…” “What about REDACTED?” I yelled at her. “‘REDACTED! Are you fucking kidding me?” I could feel my entire perception of Juniper shifting, forever changed. “REDACTED,” she insisted, fat tears rolling down her cheeks. “REDACTED. Don’t you want to-” “REDACTED,” I said, grabbing REDACTED and preparing to leave. On the verge of hyperventilating, I pressed my hands against REDACTED’s chest. I applied pressure to the wound, and I tried desperately to focus my mana, but my mana control was insufficient; my hands took on no blue glow, and the color was fading from REDACTED. In truth, a wound like this, dealt by concentrated mana, would require a proper medical Etheri to heal. The most that first aid would do would be to buy a few more precious minutes until a professional could take over. There would be no saving REDACTED, but my own ineptitude made me feel like I was the one sealing REDACTED fate. My hands shook as I tried in vain to summon the necessary mana. “FUCK!” I screamed, watching the blood stain my stupid, useless hands. I broke down, clutching REDACTED cloak with both fists and sobbing into REDACTED chest. My tears were flowing freely now, falling onto REDACTED cheeks and rolling off. “Don’t cry,” REDACTED told me. The corner of REDACTED mouth gave the weakest little smile. “REDACTED.” Trying to withhold my sobs, REDACTED,” I managed to say. “REDACTED whispered back. It was the last thing REDACTED said. I knew that it was over, and a loud sob escaped from my chest. I cried so hard that I couldn’t breathe. My vision was completely blurred as I cried my eyes out. The tears mixed with the sweat and stung my eyes. REDACTED was still warm. REDACTED. “This can’t be it,” I said aloud. It was so grief stricken, I didn’t even recognize it as my own voice. “This can’t be it.” I wanted desperately to keep fighting for him. Despite the guilt I felt, despite my worry, I didn’t want to think about leaving him behind. “You do,” I insisted emotionally. “You are a significant part of my life. If anything, I’m… I’m so… sorry,” I said, bursting into tears. “I’m so sorry I barged into your life and hurt you.” Finally, REDACTED ended our hug so that we could look at each other. “No,” he blubbered, “I choose you. Every day. I love you.” “I love you,” I blubbered at the same time. We kissed each other, and it was beautiful and disgusting; our faces were wet with tears and runny noses. I was getting literal snot into my mouth, but it was the best moment I had ever had in my life.
