“Its called Horizontal Parenting.” Uncle Reo explains from the floor. “Oh, did he tell you that?” Daddy asks, unimpressed. “Maybe.” “What do you think, little baby?” Dad asks, pulling me away from Uncle Reo’s pancake. “Is Mr. Nagi good for Reo?” “Absolutely!” I answer with complete confidence, “Mr. Nagi is great! He can’t stop looking at Uncle Reo, its really cute!” “Oh, well, look at that! Mr. Nagi likes you, too.” Daddy teases Uncle Reo. Uncle Reo’s head pops up above the bar. “Really?” He asks, eyes shining like syrup getting drizzled on a pancake. I nod furiously. “He’s always super awake when you come. And his eyes are super sparkly! That must mean he likes you.” “Wow, what a man.” Daddy dryly says. “Daddy, be nice.” I point my fork at Daddy, like he does when he's making a point. “Mr. Nagi is great! He's really really fun!”

“Eh, you're not coming over.” Nagi asks innocently. “You promised Reo.” Nagi pouts, knowing Reo did no such thing, which had been bugging her since she realized Reo had slithered out of her trap. Reo sputters, red-faced, and gives excuse after excuse on why she can't come over, none of which Nagi cares about. Each excuse frustrates Nagi more and more. How is she supposed to become Reo’s trophy wife is she's so resistant to sleeping together. She doesn't even understand why Reo is so resistant in the first place; she knows Reo enjoyed staying over, so why can't she do it everyday. “I'm sorry Nagi…” Reo trails off and she truly does look sad. Nagi can't bring herself to be so mad about it, but she still pouts to see if she can get anything out of it. Reo looks so conflicted, she's still gripping Nagis hand and her fingers are fidgeting until they finally unclench and and she sighs like she's been defeated. Nagis eyes brighten and Reo hesitantly asks like she thinks maybe there's a sliver of hope Nagi will say no. “Do, do you want to come over?” Score. “Hmm, i guess.” Nagi mumbles, like it wasn't her whole idea in the first place.

sneak peak of my idol!reo progamer!nagi for nagireo week!
Sliding around a corner, Reo finally catches sight of the elusive man. Nagi’s leaning against the wall halfway down the hall, head down playing a game on his phone, not too close but also not too far from Reo’s dressing room, and Reo smirks. To any other observer Nagi would just be wasting time away, but Reo knows the truth. Why else would he be here and not with his group if not for the same reason Reo is here. Reo takes his time to slowly walk up, no longer rushing. No reason to come off as too desperate if Nagi’s going to pretend to be indifferent. He stops in front of the lazy man and clears his throat. Nagi glances up quickly, before going back to his game. “Yeah?” He asks. Reo is so so delighted. This fake I don’t give a fuck attitude is so so cute. “It was fun playing with you!” Nagi nods. “I don’t think I’ve had that much fun with video games in a while.” Nagi hums. “Mind if I get your number, so—” “Sure.” Nagi replies before Reo can even finish his question. Reo doesn’t even try to hide his self-satisfied smirk. Nagi’s still not looking at him anyway. “Great! I’d love to play again some time! Let me see your phone, so I can give you my info.” Does Reo need Nagi’s phone? He doesn’t, but he wants to see if he can get this man to break his disinterested attitude. Reo’s sees Nagi’s fingers pause for a second, before he goes back to finishing up his match. Reo waits patiently and when he sees the results show up on Nagi’s screen, he stands up a little straighter in anticipation. Nagi finally looks up and he still looks apathetic, uninterested, unimpressed, but Reo can see the shine in his eyes; he’s none of those things. Without breaking eye contact, Reo plucks Nagi’s phone out of his hands and taps in his phone number. With a smile, Reo hands the phone back, says “I’ll text you,” and walks off. He doesn’t even have to look behind him to know that Nagi’s eyes never leave him.
