Thing is, the USA isn't known for quality manufacturing. Japan, Korea, Germany and Scandinavia are, but USA, generally speaking has is it good enough attitude, rather than is it the best it can be.

UK here, it is such a terrible place that our capital city has been ranked as the best city in the world for the 11th year on the trot.

Because until such times as enough Republicans state that they would support it, one has to assume they will vote with their leader. And that would need a third of Republican Senators to go for it to be anything other that a showboating exercise.

I think most people aren't too greedy, but the problem with capitalism is that the general good becomes susceptible to those who are too greedy. And there are enough of those, and always will be, that capitalism should be put to death.

That the BBC board couldn't agree a statement in over a week, shows they were either unaware of the importance of being seen not to address the situation in a timely way, in which case they are incompetent, or they were aware and deliberately undermined the BBC.
Both mean they should all be sacked.
