It's October in the Pacific NW and Iris "Immortality" decided to bloom. It's one of the re-blooming varieties, but I just planted it in August and did not expect blossoms this year.

Release the full Epstein files. Unredacted. Now. If somebody is in those files, they must be investigated, and prosecuted where applicable. No matter who. This includes Bill Clinton. If it included Mother Theresa, I would insist on her being investigated, too.

Former loved ones, for the most part. For *decades* I kept thinking we would someday be reconciled. But their choices spoke volumes. I am not safe with them, and will no longer have them in my life.

Well, Putin is surrounded by a moral stench at all times and doesn't seem bothered by it, so Trump's Depends must have been leaking strongly. :-)

I so often feel bleak and alone these days. I am not alone, of course, it just feels that way. But even in my little town, people are *showing up*. I was overcome with gratitude that all these people have something very much in common with me, that they are also horrified by what they see.

"Black Gamecock" Louisiana Iris. This is the third summer in my garden and the first summer where it has bloomed profusely.

Siberian iris "Black Cherry Sorbet". I was pleasantly surprised to have it bloom this year, as I only planted the rhizome last year. It often takes two years before I see a Siberian iris bloom after planting.
