How it works: StopNCII.org uses privacy-preserving technology to create digital "fingerprints" of your intimate content directly on your device. Your images never leave your device, but the fingerprints are shared with participating platforms like Meta, TikTok, and now Bluesky. 2/4

🎣 RECOGNIZE PHISHING - Scammers often impersonate Bluesky staff. Our accounts have blue verification checkmarks—if an account looks like Bluesky but lacks the checkmark, it's not official. When in doubt, don't engage. 7/10

🚨 MODERATION SCAM WARNING - DMs about account violations or moderation issues are scams. We don't handle moderation via DMs/external sites and would NEVER ask for your password, payment, or credit card details regarding moderation decisions. 6/10

⚠️ VERIFICATION SCAM WARNING - We will NEVER DM you about account verification. Messages from "Bluesky staff" or services offering to get your account verified through DMs are scams. Report and block immediately. 5/10

🛡️ ENABLE 2FA - Add an extra security layer via Settings > Privacy and Security > Enable 2FA. While Bluesky 2FA helps protect your account, make sure your email also has 2FA enabled for maximum protection. 3/10

This link safety feature works automatically in the background to protect you from known threats while maintaining your privacy. There is no review of your messages unless you or another participant reports them. 4/4

Bluesky does not read or review your DMs. We gain limited access to messages only when they're reported by a participant in the conversation to conduct a moderation assessment. 3/4

When you receive a link that's been confirmed as malicious or unsafe, the app will either warn you when you click the link or block the URL entirely. This helps protect you against scams, CSAM, and compromised accounts. 2/4
