With silver cone and flower and gold and green decorations above. my five star book review part 1 is below This is a wonderful storyline once more from Trisha Ashley whose characters spring to life from each page, and was so good that I was riveted to the final outcome of both Arwen and Ginny’s stories. I love that it is set in the North Wales area in a small hamlet of Seren Bach and love the character of Nerys who runs the writing Christmas retreat that Ginny and her mother Evie both attends in Evie’s case to locate more information about women painters who had lived in the area and in particular one artist. The interactions within the household are a delight with lots of different characters including Rhys, Cariad, Kate, Opal, Pearl and Verity. part 2 is within the next photograph showing my review. My book review part 2 is below There is a poignant heartbreaking story which runs throughout, as well as romance and Christmas vibes and indulgences and the creative spark invigorates everyone at the retreat. There’s revelations in the new year in abundance, as well as a few unsavoury characters and truths. You won’t want it to end as always it’s just so good, there’s some references to spot to other books written by Trisha Ashley which I love to see, and also includes some lovely recipes too as an added bonus to a wonderful read.

I loved the characters of Amelie and Jack who are constantly fighting and denying the attraction between themselves. With misunderstandings and family secrets between them can they begin to get to really know and understand each other, when they are thrown together over Christmas at the French Repair Shop can they overcome their fears and begin to trust one and other again? or is their relationship irreparable? I really didn’t want this wonderful book to end.

I love that it’s set predominately in Britannia, and the quest of Duro taking him and Gisel on a dangerous journey together. With the present day characters of McKenna and Jonah making discoveries of their own, linking the past and the present, in and around Bath and Caerleon in the most surprising ways. It’s such a wonderful book, and one I really didn’t want to end.
