🚨 Good news 🚨
Hungry children struggle with attainment and behaviour at school which is why the Government has announced an expansion of free school meals from September 2026.

This will save families up to £450 per child, a year and will help lift 100,000 children out of poverty.

25 November marks White Ribbon Day, the international day to end violence against women and girls.

This year’s theme is 'We Speak Up' because letting sexism slide, whether it’s “jokes,” catcalling, staring, or comments, puts women and girls at risk.

With the cold snap that has hit the UK over the weekend, the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated to help those sleeping rough to stay safe ❄️

The SWEP ensures that the council can take all the precautions necessary to ensure those who are sleeping rough can access shelter.
