I know a lovely critter who gave a copy oh his own novella to a bookstore over here and it sold...I believe rather quickly

Unfortunately they don't list it on their website though

So I don't actually know which does better if there's even any metric for it so far in the community >.>

But also! Not without asking the writers of those stories because that's an important part of this idea :3
