On the other hand I hear about physicians resigning en masse, or significantly withdrawing service due to massive burnout and issues with patient safety including horrifying policies where the hospital dictates when a patient should be discharged (home first policies without downstream care).

On one hand I hear from friends whose care has been abysmal and without major advocacy are simply not receiving adequate care, resulting in them losing trust in the healthcare system and subsequently, physicians.
