I do agree on the oddity of partisan election administration. Unfortunately, the concept of a career civil service largely post-dates many of our State Constitutions, and certainly the national Constitution, and so the role for the career civil service is not as defined as it should be.

A significant reason that Gore didn’t push for a statewide recount - which was the morally ethical choice - is that the Gore campaign feared (incorrectly) that a statewide recount might find that Bush was the winner.

I’m also admittedly not a “Super Bowl or Bust” type of fan. I do think the other accomplishments matter too. It’s a very, very, small list of teams that have done a 6-peat as division champions. I think that is worth going for as well.

I just saw one model give the Bills a 15% chance of the 1 seed with a win on Sunday and a Packers win over Denver. The chance for a bye to rest and recover from injuries seems worth striving for.

If we are so certain that a Dolphins team that already beat the Bills once can’t possibly, conceivably, beat the Patriots - then the Bills don’t have much hope in the playoffs anyways.

We do know from social science that more Floridians intended to vote for Gore than Bush (see the Palm Beach County butterfly ballot.) But just because the system declared Bush the winner, despite the intentions of Florida voters, it doesn’t follow that Rs “stole” the election.

Good to hear. My first thought was that anytime you are dealing with one of the smartest orgs in League, you should be nervous that they know more than you.

Yup! Another way of looking at it, if you really can’t give both awards to the same team, then Tony Pollard 25-161 an 2 TDs was way more deserving than Rasul Douglas of a POTW award.
With that being said, I am stoked that Allen keeps racking up these POTW numbers.
