Nice, I'm curious if you have an example of anything that hasn't improved from gmod? I never developed for gmod myself so I have no frame of reference!

Platformers often give the player the chance to test their reflexes. The fight with gravity, that is often inherent with platformers, is something I always miss when playing top-down games. When a top-down game does implement gravity, it is often limited in design opportunities by the camera angle.

It's too expensive. Why haven't they lowered the price after sales turned out lacking? Wishlists mean nothing if the price isn't right.
