Indeed, most of the women seem written that way. The water chieftain’s wife shows obvious doubt towards her husband’s decisions but ultimately always obeys him and defers to his judgment. Varang ran her very own tribe and carried herself with clear authority until she became the colonel’s arm candy.

People usually argue *for* the movie being about Christmas, not against it, which is why it was hard to read it as a joke. It’s also not the first time I’ve heard that argument. But I’m glad we’re agreed on the quality of the film.
