And so with that in mind, all you want to do is write lots of good music for that future. Like stuff like this makes me hopeful for the state of very niche underground music, and so I just wanna have time to write more and plant those seeds

Like you don't improve in your craft and embark on a journey if you are expecting different results by a year. It's something where you don't even see any meaningful results til about 3 years in. So you write good shit, in the hopes that someday, you'll see the beginnings of its impact

It may take a few years for something to really kick off, and that feeling is one of the greatest feelings. It makes writing music so worth it, because even if algorithms are shit, you have to play the long game. And once you become cracked, it just makes doing anything even more exciting

Writing a bunch of albums and releasing them in a short span is antithetical to the way algorithms work, because it cannot properly understand the amount of content you have. But I do not care for that, I care for writing tons of cool music and having it reach the people who care about this

And so with just pressing record, saving that and only prioritizing the best takes, and having this occur over months naturally, and you can easily clear 50 recordings that'll fit onto 5+ projects. This does seem insane, but when you've been writing songs for years, it becomes natural as breathing

Like 95% of me doing music is recording stuff whenever the song mood strikes and never touching it til months later. And so you forget how much you have recorded in the backlog, just awaiting some audio mastering. It's never about pursuing numbers, but more like, I like to catalog all my sessions

At least I only need a 27 on my final to pass my discreet math class so it's less stressful but I still am like, "what if I do absolute ass and get a 26?" Aaaaaa but I'll be free of the most busy semesters that was not nice to me
