Elliot Watt and George Harrison both scored, setting up a must-score penalty for Burton. Ryan Sweeney stepped up and scored putting all the pressure on Tamworth.

Haydn Hollis smashed the ball past Crocombe and sent the away end into pandemonium. Tamworth won the shoutout 4-3.

Ben Milnes converted Tamworth's first spot kick, then Mason Bennett levelled the shoutout. Alex Fletched restored the lead to 2-1 after two spot-kicks each.

The third round of penalties saw a double miss.

Ben Whitfield and Ben Crompton missed for their respective teams.

Up first was Burton Albion forward Danilo Orsi, the Brewers' top scorer.

The penalty was blasted to the right corner but Tamworth's keeper Jas Kingh was equal to it and denied Orsi sending the Tamworth fans behind the goal into celebrations.

The Lambs fought back and levelled the game, two minutes later with Ronan Maher scoring on his second game for Tamworth, instantly making himself a club hero.

Tamworth grew stronger and stronger as extra time went on but couldn't manage to score.

Penalty-kicks loomed.

Tamworth defended well for the full 90 minutes and kept it goalless. A new rule this season meant extra time for the two sides instead of a replay.

After a nervy second half, the final whistle blew at The Lamb Ground and fifth-tier, Tamworth had caused a massive upset against 7th-placed League One side Huddersfield Town.

The second-round draw was eagerly anticipated by the whole town of Tamworth.

A long floated throw-in by Tom Tonks caused danger and was flapped at by Huddersfield's goalkeeper.

Maxwell got a touch on the looping ball, but it ended up in the back of his net.

A goal just before half-time was just what they needed.

This win in the fourth qualifying round sent Tamworth into the hat, for the first round proper for the first time in over a decade.

The draw for Tamworth was perfect, they took on League One side Huddersfield Town at home. A game which helped the club massively on the pitch.

Tamworth entered the competition in the fourth qualifying round. They were drawn against Robbie Savage's Macclesfield.

Tamworth won 4-2 in front of their home crowd. Thishunka scored a brace, and Creaney and McGlinchey were also on the scoresheet for the Lambs.
