Wait didn’t they JUST proclaim that Durango would be V8 only.?!

It’s apparently getting interest from older couples in Japan, third life types. Which I could see—in Japan. American third lifers couldn’t manage to get in and out of a coupe like that.

I was going to say - Prelude isn’t even the most DOA Honda!

Yeah, just like that, but that’s not available in the USA.

R2 is a midsize unibody crossover, Traveler is a full-size BoF SUV. They are two different segments! Like comparing a RAV4 and a 4Runner.

It's OK to be wrong, Brian—happens to the best of us.

Sure but R2 is a much smaller vehicle. Besides, my point was Scout's brand positioning is aiming for a broader, less premium space than Rivian/Land Rover/Audi (which will certainly ask six figures for its G-Class killer)

With an average MSRP of $52k, $60k for an EV FSPU truck and LTU is at the lower end of the price band. It’s no Slate but it’s no Rivian (or Land Rover) either.

Scout is trying to position itself more downmarket than Rivian, so less Land Rover, more, uh, us.

I mean you're not wrong—it IS easier. But it's easier because it's known (and profitable, and people keep buying them).

Ranchero!

It's just easier to not change than to change. This is as true of people as it is of corporations (which are people, as we know)

Not going to make it this year. Maybe NYC in the spring, or Ride AI.
