But we have no indication it is anything beyond the subway fire. USCP:
"There was a small electrical fire on the subway that leads from the Rayburn House Office building to the U.S. Capitol. There are no injuries to those on board the subway. The fire was quickly put out with fire extinguishers."

But when we went outside we saw things had escalated. DC Fire brought a ladder truck to the East Front and we could see fire fighters climbing to the roof of the Capitol.

There was no imminent danger unless you were right in the tunnel and there were reports of a Capitol Police officer feeling the effects of the smoke.

We were told not to walk down the tunnel, so we went around the other side and then saw police and firefighters rushing to the subway car. There were no flames.. but plenty of smoke and what you'd describe as an electrical smell.
