I suppose it’s debatable whether he caused that one or exacerbated an already shaky situation. But I think it’s fairly well accepted that his (and his OMB director David Stockman’s) budget slashing, which cut funds to basically every social program, was detrimental to the economy.

I think it works on its, own cause (for me at least), “plais” evokes “plaisir,” the French word for enjoyment/pleasure.

He was on NPR’s Here & Now yesterday, and I COULD NOT BELIEVE host Scott Tong just let him argue about the “best way” to remove Maduro w/o *any* (!) pushback about WHY we have any right or responsibility to do so, to say nothing of our atrocious record vis-à-vis regime change—esp. in Latin America!
